Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with 2 years of professional experience, or an associate degree with 6 years of professional experience.
• Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic socio-economic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
• Ability to align with Imperial Valley College curriculum and course outlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in accordance with approved Imperial Valley College curriculum and established course outlines and as assigned based on the needs of the college.
• Assignments based on class availability, seniority, and qualifications; includes class preparation, student evaluation, course syllabus, and assessing student learning outcomes.
• Maintain and submit accurate records (grades, syllabi, attendance reports) by deadlines.
• Maintain standards of professional conduct and ethics appropriate to the position.
• Advise students on academic matters.
• Maintain competency in the field.
