Job summary

Shalestone is seeking a Water Transfer Supervisor to lead on-site water transfer operations, including Dewatering, Rig-Up, Start-Up, and Shut-Down activities. You will supervise crews, ensure safety, manage equipment and DOT compliance, and coordinate daily field tickets and reporting.

Responsibilities include leading shift change meetings, training, and acting as liaison with customers. Travel to project sites is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising water transfer operations in oil & gas.
• Knowledge of SPCC and environmental compliance.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily shift change meetings with JSAs and scheduling.
• Oversee field tickets, crew timekeeping and training.
• Ensure DOT compliance for trailers and company vehicles.
• Operate and troubleshoot field equipment; supervise on-site sub-contractors.

Job description

Water Transfer Supervisor leads within the following system processes: installation, operations, troubleshooting, and removal.

Responsibilities include daily reporting and administrative tasks associated with the system processes to include by not limited to: leading shift change meetings (JSAs), scheduling, daily field tickets, crew timekeeping approvals, training, onsite customer contact.

Reports to: Project Manager and/or Operations Manager

Essential Duties

Duties may include the following: (other duties may be assigned)

• Operates per Shalestone SPCC policy and in compliance with environmental and customer expectations.


• Takes ownership of the safety and performance of the crew from shop-to-shop.


• Follows incident and spill reporting procedures.


• Leads inspection initiatives for PPE, rigging, crew trucks, trailers, equipment, etc.


• Leads daily shift change meetings.


• Properly prepares the crew for inclement weather and winter operations.


• Operates and troubleshoots field equipment. Trains Transfer Techs and Pump Operators to do the same.


• Identifies talent and develops more Supervisors.


• Leads, on-site, critical operations (Dewatering, Pressure Testing, Rig-Up, Start-Up, Shut-Down, Rig-Down).


• Ensure equipment is operated safely and cared for.


• Ensure trailers are loaded and transported in compliance with DOT regulations.


• Ensure company vehicles are operated safely and are cared for.


• Provides team members with clear expectations and holds them accountable.


• Identify talent or underperformance and communicate to operations management.


• Effectively communicates asset repair, maintenance and performance issues.


• Responsible for the inventory and organization of trucks, trailers, tools, equipment, Shalestone yard, site locations, etc.


• Ensure team members clock in and out daily, accurately.


• Completes, collects and reviews daily paperwork and turns into operations management.


• Supervise water transfer operations per Shalestone expectations and standard operating procedures.


• Supervise on-site sub-contractors – ensure compliance.


• Support projects locally and in outlying basins (travel required unless negotiated otherwise).


• Function as primary liaison with company men for shift being supervised.


• Prepares and plans for each shift and the needs of these shifts.


• Conducts other duties and tasks assigned.


• Prior water transfer supervisory or management experience within the O&G Industry.


• Pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening as well as random drug testing.


• Valid driver's license and approved motor vehicle record.


• Basic skills with Microsoft Office and supporting programs.
