The 3-month program starts with hands-on field tasks in valve exercise, fire hydrant maintenance or blowoff maintenance, advancing toward Water Technician 1 upon meeting expectations. Expect outdoor labor, safety protocols, and continuous on-the-job training.

Earn $18–$21 hourly with weekly pay, benefits, and opportunities for advancement. No experience required, strong safety mindset and willingness to travel or work occasional

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record.
• Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
• DOT medical certification as required by locations.
• Physically capable of field work up to 50 pounds and varied terrain.
• Willing to travel, weekends and occasional night shifts.
• Proficient with mobile devices and field data apps.

Responsibilities

• Accurately collect GPS coordinates for assets.
• Safely operate, maintain, and clean equipment.
• Gather precise data from inspection points.
• Maintain productivity and discipline throughout the day.
• Achieve driving score of A-90 or above.
• Use PPE and follow safety protocols daily.
• Paint, scrape, and clean fire hydrants to standards.
• Repair hydrants and water main valve nuts.
• Communicate with support staff and field managers daily.
