Job summary

Hydromax USA in Henrico, VA is seeking a Water Technician Trainee to launch a career in essential maintenance programs. You will participate in Valve Exercise, Fire Hydrant, or Blowoff maintenance and complete a structured 3-month trainee program guiding you toward Water Technician 1.

The role involves outdoor work, safety-focused protocols, driving, and data collection; travel up to 50% is required and training is paid.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
• Ability to pass background check and pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Accurately collect GPS coordinates for assigned assets.
• Safely operate and maintain field equipment.
• Gather precise data from inspection points.
• Maintain productivity and discipline throughout the day.
• Achieve a driving score per company policy.
• Follow PPE and safety protocols daily.
• Paint, scrape, and clean fire hydrants to meet standards.
• Perform repairs on hydrants and water valve nuts.
• Communicate effectively with staff and field managers.
