Job summary

Water Utility Management is seeking Water Technicians to support our operations in the Effingham County area, Rincon, GA and surrounding locations. The role focuses on maintaining potable water treatment and distribution systems in compliance with federal, state, and company policies.

Typical duties include daily rounds, field repairs, meter reading, and participation in projects related to piping and electrical work. A company vehicle is provided to perform duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• 1–2 years' experience in water treatment or related outdoor work preferred.
• GA State Water Treatment Class III Certification or Operator Distribution Certification preferred but not required; licenses supported by employer.

Responsibilities

• Make daily rounds at Water Utility Management facilities to ensure water purity and operate distribution systems.
• Conduct field repairs and inspections, and read water meters.
• Participate in projects involving piping, electrical, and structural work.

Water Utility Management is looking for Water Technicians in the Statesboro, Metter, Effingham, and Pembroke areas!

Description

Maintain the areas potable water treatment and distribution system in accordance with federal, state, county, municipal, and company policies and standards.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Make daily rounds at Water Utility Management water facilities to ensure water purity. Handle daily water maintenance, operation, and distribution systems, processes, and procedure.
• Conduct field repairs.
• Conduct field inspections and read water meters.
• Participate in a variety of special projects such as construction of piping, electrical, and structural systems related to assigned work area.
• Perform other job'related duties as required.

*A company vehicle will be provided to employees to perform their job duties.

Qualifications & Experience

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• 1-2 years' experience in a water treatment processing role or similar outdoor experience preferred.
• GA State Water Treatment Class III Certification or Operator Distribution Certification preferred but not required.
  Water Utility Management will help employees obtain licenses.
• Valid Georgia Class C driver's license with a satisfactory driving record upon hire.

All applicants must be able to pass a 5 year MVR, drug screening, and criminal background check prior to gaining employment with Water Utility Management.
