Job summary

Las Vegas Valley Water District seeks a Disinfection Systems Technician I (Flex) to inspect, maintain and repair hypochlorite equipment and associated water storage/disinfection systems at Valley View Campus in Las Vegas.

The role starts at $31.45 per hour with a potential flex to level II after 6–24 months, contingent on performance, licensing and certifications; 4/10s schedule, 5am-3:30pm, Mon-Thu, and strict safety practices are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and two years of maintenance experience in potable water systems.
• Knowledge of pumps, valves, motors, and control systems.
• Familiarity with SCADA and CMMS.
• Strong safety and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, service, and repair hypochlorite equipment and related systems.
• Receive deliveries and manage storage of sodium hypochlorite.
• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on pumps, reservoirs, tanks, and related equipment.
• Operate and troubleshoot non-chemical pumping equipment and reservoirs.
