Job summary

Las Vegas Valley Water District is seeking a Disinfection Systems Technician I (Flex) to perform inspection, maintenance and repair of hypochlorite and disinfection systems at the Valley View Campus in Las Vegas. Expect 4/10 schedule, 5am–3:30pm, Monday to Thursday, with eligibility to progress to Level II after 6–24 months with a higher starting wage.

Ideal candidates will have two years of general maintenance experience in potable water operations and strong safety and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of general maintenance experience in potable water operations is preferred.
• Ability to read and follow safety procedures and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, service and repair hypochlorite equipment and related systems.
• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on pumping equipment, reservoirs and disinfection systems.
• Manage sodium hypochlorite storage following safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Enter maintenance data into CMMS/SCADA and produce clear reports.
