Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license required; Class A CDL within 6 months after 180 days on the job.
• 1 year of construction or mechanical experience preferred; safety is essential.
• Read maps and use GIS to locate lines and valves; operate heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Locate leaks and lines accurately to minimize excavation and repair costs.
• Operate pumps, backhoes, excavators, dump trucks and other heavy gear.
• Repair and install water mains, meters, valves, hydrants and related parts.
• Read maps/GIS to shut off water as needed and maintain customer service.
• Maintain traffic control and operate company vehicles safely.
