Job summary

HDR is seeking a Drinking Water Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary teams in designing and upgrading water treatment facilities in the Iowa and Nebraska regions. You will manage project scope, schedules, and budgets, and interface with facility owners to ensure successful delivery.

The role requires strong leadership, 7+ years in municipal water planning, and a PE license. HDR emphasizes employee ownership and an inclusive, collaborative culture across multiple U.S. locations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
  • 7 years related experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years project management experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
  • MS Office and MS Project experience is required; Access experience would be a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams to develop facility planning documents, process design, detailed designs, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for water treatment plant upgrades and related water systems.
  • Administer construction contracts during project construction.
  • Serve as client manager for multiple clients in Iowa and Nebraska regions.
  • Support marketing efforts and expand HDR's drinking water portfolio.
  • Coordinate staff engineers and CAD/BIM technicians to meet deadlines and budgets.
