Henderson Water Utility is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to install, maintain, and repair equipment across water treatment facilities and related systems. You will work in a team for larger repairs and may assist operators as needed, contributing to safe, reliable service.

The role emphasizes routine maintenance, safety compliance, and documentation, with potential advancement to Maintenance Technician II and cross-training in plant operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; 12+ months experience in mechanics, painting, electrical work, construction or general building maintenance/repair.
• Driver's license may be not required for some tasks; essential functions rely on safe operating practices.

Responsibilities

• Repair, troubleshoot and complete preventive maintenance for treatment plant equipment and machinery.
• Advise on purchase, integration, installation and startup of new equipment and processes.
• Maintain inventory and care of tools, supplies, and vehicles.
