Performs assigned tasks issued by Maintenance Supervisor, Chief Operator or Water Resources Director. Ensure proper work methods and safety procedures are followed. Maintains inventory of essential parts, materials, and tools.

  • Completes work orders for preventive maintenance and repairs.
  • Acquires quotes on materials, parts, and subcontracted work.
  • Will be required to be on-call after hours, weekends, and holidays
  • Will be required to respond after hours for waterline breaks and/or emergency repairs.
  • Will be required to drive a City vehicle for City business use.
  • Performs related work as required.
Requirements

Minimum Education Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • One year of experience in utility maintenance, mechanical troubleshooting, and maintenance of water treatment plants
Physical Requirements
  • Exerting up to 35 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly having to move objects.
