Job summary

Logan, Utah, Public Works is seeking a skilled equipment operator for water system maintenance. Under general supervision, you will operate small to medium-size motorized equipment and support the water transmission and distribution lines.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, about two years of construction experience, Utah Water Distribution IV certification within the first year, and a valid Utah CDL appropriate to the equipment.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of full-time construction and maintenance work experience.
• Utah Water Distribution IV certification within the first year.

Responsibilities

• Operates dump truck, crew truck and other equipment for water distribution work.
• Assists with barricading, signing, and safety procedures.
• Repairs leaks and installs lines; uses hand and power tools.
• Responds to emergency call situations.
