Job summary

Las Vegas Valley Water District seeks an Engineering Technician II to support engineering design, construction, and operations analyses at Valley View Campus. Qualifications

  • Graduation from high school or GED equivalent, supplemented by college-level coursework in engineering, drafting, engineering mathematics or related fields.
  • Four years of progressively responsible sub-professional engineering or field survey experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and basic drafting practices for potable water systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform technical and paraprofessional engineering duties in support of engineering design, construction, resource planning and operations analyses.
  • Prepare multi-discipline engineering drawings \u2013 utilizing AutoCAD; assist with development of specifications.
  • Communicate complex ideas to non-technical personnel and collaborate with maintenance shop personnel.
