Job summary

Las Vegas Valley Water District is seeking an Engineering Technician II to support engineering design and construction, resource planning and operations analyses at Valley View Campus in Las Vegas. Under general supervision, you will perform technical and paraprofessional duties, including handling engineering data, drawings, and specifications within a large potable water utility.

You will work with pumps, valves, motors, MCCs, relays, and AutoCAD drawings, collaborating with maintenance shop

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED with college-level engineering coursework.
• Four years of progressive sub-professional engineering or field survey experience.
• Ability to obtain Nevada driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical engineering analyses and calculations.
• Read, understand and interpret engineering plans, drawings, specifications, maps and other technical materials.
• Support design, construction, resource planning and operations analyses.
