The primary objective is to “keep the operator at the station” by ensuring all materials, tools, and resources required are staged in advance, thereby reducing non-value-added movement and ensuring an uninterrupted production cadence.***Essential Functions / Responsibilities*****:*** **Point-of-Use Tracking:**Monitor and respond to visual cues – such as empty bins, signal cards, or floor markings – to execute the timely collection, replenishment, and return of materials to designated locations.* **Standard Work Execution:** Follow a disciplined, timed route to ensure material delivery matches the production schedule and needs of the production line.* **Waste Mitigation:** Proactively remove dunnage, empty packaging, and scrap from the production area to maintain a 5S-compliant workspace.* **Production Support:** Assist with the staging of tools and materials for upcoming changeovers to minimize downtime. Periodically support direct production work during staffing shortages or peak demand.***Secondary Responsibilities*****:*** **Communication Bridge:** Serve as liaison between the production floor and the warehouse/supervisors regarding material shortages or quality concerns.* **Quality Inspection:** Visually inspect components during replenishment for obvious defects or damage.* **Consumable Management:** Monitor and refill supplies (fasteners, packaging, labels, etc.). Remove waste and recyclables from workstations.* Deliver components, and subassemblies as necessary per production line needs.## Qualifications***Knowledge, Skills & Experiences*****:*** **Education:** Level of knowledge associated with a High School / Vocational School diploma.* **Experience:** Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in preferred.* **Technical Skills:** Knowledge of basic math and ability to read blueprints/work instructions and familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.* **Problem Solving:** Ability to recognize abnormalities in the flow and escalate issues before they cause line stoppages.
