A Water Spider is more than a Material Handler. This role is a critical link in keeping production moving. Rather than spending the entire shift on a forklift, Water Spiders work throughout the shop to locate, organize, verify, and deliver materials while identifying shortages and communicating potential production issues. Success in this position requires initiative, organization, problem-solving skills, and a willingness to stay actively involved on the production floor. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, lift and/or move up to 50 lbs, bend, use hands, and fingers for 8 + hours. (Overtime may be required)
