Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking personnel to assist with installing underground water and sewer mains, storm drainage, and related utilities. You will help with excavation, trenching, backfilling, and site restoration while following plans and field instructions.

The role requires reading construction plans, measuring elevations, and aiding in testing and inspections. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors, operating basic tools, and coordinating with the Project Manager on issues discovered

Qualifications

• Previous experience in underground utility, water/sewer or site construction preferred.
• Ability to read and understand construction plans and utility drawings preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills for field coordination.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation of underground water mains, sewer mains, storm drainage, and related utilities.
• Perform excavation, trenching, bedding, backfilling, compaction, and site restoration.
• Assist with installing water and sewer pipe, fittings, valves, manholes, hydrants, and related structures.
• Perform connections and tie-ins to existing utility systems; assist with sewer and water service installations.
• Assist with utility locating and verification of existing underground infrastructure.
• Read and understand construction plans, layouts, specs, and field instructions.
• Assist with measuring, pipe grades, elevations, and utility alignment.
• Assist with testing, inspection, flushing, and pressure testing as required.
• Identify potential installation issues and communicate to the Project Manager or Supervisor.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions; operate tools and simple equipment safely.

Assist with installation of underground water mains, sewer mains, storm drainage, and related utilities.Perform excavation, trenching, bedding, backfilling, compaction, and site restoration activities.Assist with the installation of water and sewer pipe, fittings, valves, manholes, cleanouts, hydrants, and other related structures.Perform connection work and assist with tie-ins to existing utility systems.Assist with sewer and water service installations.Assist with utility locating and verification of existing underground infrastructure.Read and understand construction plans, utility layouts, specifications, and field instructions.Assist with measuring, pipe grades, elevations, and utility alignment.Assist with testing, inspection, flushing, pressure testing, and other required procedures.Identify potential installation issues and communicate them to the Project Manager or Supervisor.Previous experience in underground utility, water/sewer, site construction, or related construction work preferred.Experience operating excavators, skid steers, loaders, or other construction equipment preferred.Ability to read and understand construction plans and utility drawings preferred.Familiarity with water and sewer pipe, fittings, valves, manholes, hydrants, and related underground utilities preferred.Basic understanding of construction grades, elevations, measurements, and utility layouts.Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.Ability to perform physically demanding construction work, including lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in and around trenches.Ability to work independently and follow instructions with limited supervision.Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
