Job summary

Cobb County Government is seeking manual laborers to support water distribution and wastewater collection infrastructure. The role operates on a swing shift (Zone 3) with schedule Monday–Thursday 1:30pm–12am, performing installations, repairs, and maintenance as described above.

Responsibilities include locating utilities, inspecting systems, and assisting in concrete and landscape restoration after repairs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; construction experience preferred.
• Ability to perform heavy physical work including lifting up to 100 pounds.
• Must be able to follow safety procedures and wear PPE at all times.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, and replace water and sewer lines and related components.
• Locate manholes, connections, valves, and utilities; assist with sewer taps.
• Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs; transport materials and clean tools.
