Job summary

Cobb County Government in Marietta, GA is seeking a skilled laborer to support water distribution and wastewater collection maintenance. The role involves installing, repairing, and inspecting lines, valves, manholes, taps, and related components on a swing shift (Zone 3) from Monday through Thursday, 1:30pm to 12am.

Responsibilities include locating utilities, performing preventive maintenance, operating jet-vac and other equipment, and assisting with site prep, restoration, and safety measures

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required. Valid Driver's License preferred.
• Must obtain Confined Space Entry, Trenching and Excavation, and Flagger certifications within nine months of hire.
• Experience in construction, infrastructure maintenance, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair water and sewer lines and related components.
• Operate tools and equipment (jet hose, jackhammer, pipe saw, CCTV equipment) as needed.
• Provide emergency coverage and standby as required.
• Assist with site preparation, restoration of landscape, and safety measures to protect workers and the public.
