Job summary

Town of Marblehead is seeking a motivated helper to assist technicians in maintaining pumping stations, water tanks, and sewer infrastructure. You will read meters, assist in inspections, and support emergency and routine repairs of the distribution and collection systems.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a CDL with air brake and tanker endorsements, plus at least two years of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Commercial Driver’s License (with air brake and Tanker endorsement) is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience is required.
• Preferred: Grade 1 Water Distribution License; Grade 1 Collection License.

Responsibilities

• Assists in maintenance of pumping stations, water tanks, outfalls, and equipment.
• Reads meters and records water/sewer usage; coordinates entry into homes when needed.
• Assists with sewer line inspections, sealing, and manhole inspections; leak detection and hydrant flushing.
