Job summary

Shawnee is seeking a Line Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the Water Distribution and/or Wastewater Collection System, ensuring compliance with City, State and Federal regulations and safe operation. You will supervise crews, locate lines for public work and private contractors, coordinate with utility companies, and respond to priority calls with the emergency trucks.

Qualified applicants have high school or equivalent, a valid Oklahoma CDL Class A with tanker endorsement within one year, and

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must possess Oklahoma CDL Class A with tanker endorsement within one year.
• Must obtain ODEQ Class C water and Class C wastewater operator certification within one year.
• Experience and training in water and sewer construction, repair and maintenance.
• Ability to supervise others and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Water Distribution and/or Wastewater Collection Systems for compliance with City, State, and Federal laws.
• Supervise crews and assign tasks; inspect work for adherence to standards.
• Locates water and sewer lines for City and private contractors.
• Coordinate with public utilities and private contractors; respond to priority calls.
• Maintain and repair water meters; drive emergency call trucks as needed.
• Prepare for and participate in adverse weather conditions and safety requirements.
