Job description

The Town of Orleans is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team in the Water Department as a Water Services Technician.

Description:

This position works under the direction of the Water Foreman and Water Superintendent. This position performs manual work relating to the installation, operation maintenance and repair of the municipal water supply and distribution facilities. Participates in weekly on-call and weekend station rotation.

Competitive Salary: We value our employees and hire some of the best in the region. The current salary range for this position is $26.87-$35.26 per hour and will be increased effective 07/01/205. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Educational Background and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalency; two to three years’ experience in the maintenance, repair, and operation of a water supply facility and distribution facility and related equipment preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Special Requirements:

Massachusetts Class D motor vehicle operator’s license.

Drinking Water Supply Facilities License, Grade II Distribution, Grade I Treatment

Hoisting Engineering License Grade 2B

OSHA 10 certification
