Job summary

ERM is hiring Inspectors to perform inspections of water service lines in field teams of two in Danville, IL. This part-time, limited-term role (20 hours/week) spans 12 months with renewal options and involves multi-disciplinary collaboration for our clients.

Responsibilities include inspecting service lines, coordinating with landowners and project staff, data entry, and producing reports. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED; a bachelor’s degree is preferred; valid driver’s

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Clean driving record and valid driver's license.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, digital cameras, and handheld data collection devices.
• Basic understanding of building construction and locating a water meter/shutoff preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections to determine water service line material.
• Interact with landowners, contractors, clients, and project team members.
• Review and implement project documents and data entry.
• Provide technical leadership and coordinate daily inspections, schedules, and meetings.
• Distribute water sampling test kits and contracts to landowners as needed.
• Document service line material findings with daily written inspection reports and photos.
• Participate in meetings and perform additional tasks as assigned.
