Job summary

ERM is hiring Field Inspectors for part-time 20 hours/week, for a 4-month term in Northeast Pennsylvania (Schuylkill/Northumberland counties). You will work in field teams of two to determine water service line materials and support client projects with detailed reporting.

Responsibilities include conducting inspections, coordinating with landowners and project staff, and documenting findings with daily reports and photos.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of building construction and locating a water meter/shutoff preferred but training provided.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, digital cameras, and handheld data collection devices.
• Ability to travel overnight on temporary assignments with short notice.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Must comply with ERM health and safety procedures.
• Must have a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections to determine water service line material.
• Interact with landowners, contractors, clients, and project team members.
• Review and implement project documents and data entry.
• Provide technical leadership and coordinate daily inspections.
• Distribute water sampling kits and contracts to landowners as needed.
• Document findings with daily written reports and photo documentation.
• Participate in meetings.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.
