Job summary

The City of Gainesville is seeking temporary lifeguards to ensure water safety at its aquatic facilities. You will observe swimmers, enforce rules, and respond to emergencies under supervision. Duties include pool maintenance, basic cleaning, and assisting with events and rentals.

Eligibility requires American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification; CPR/First Aid/ED may be required; candidates will undergo a pre-employment background check and training as directed by the Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age at time of appointment and possess an American Red Cross Lifeguard Training certification or equivalent.
