Job summary

The Army Non-Appropriated Funds (NAF) at Fort Belvoir, VA seeks a Water Safety Instructor to manage swim lessons at the assigned aquatics facility. You will instruct all levels and strokes, from infant to adult, and develop programs tailored to student abilities.

You will work with lifeguards to maintain safety, require WSI, CPR and First Aid certifications, and complete pre-employment checks. Resumes should show relevant experience; probation may be required.

Qualifications

• Water Safety Instructor Certification required.
• CPR certification required.
• First Aid certification required.

Responsibilities

• Manage all swimming lessons and scheduled instruction at the aquatics facility.
• Develop swim program according to students' ability and promote progression.
• Instruct all levels of swimming and strokes (front crawl, back crawl, elementary backstroke, breaststroke, sidestroke, butterfly).
• Teach students from infant to adult and introduce safety/survival skills as appropriate.
• Work with lifeguards to ensure swim lesson safety at all times.
