Brown and Caldwell, Inc. is seeking a Water Reuse Engineer to help expand our reuse practice, improving environmental sustainability and water resilience for clients in the West.

The role involves planning water reuse systems, navigating permit compliance, and delivering innovative treatment designs with limited supervision. You will work with industry leaders on notable water reuse projects, while also supporting related areas like water and wastewater treatment, stormwater, and waste

Qualifications

• Five+ years of environmental engineering experience, preferably in water reuse.
• Experience preparing plans and permit applications.
• Mentoring less experienced colleagues.
• SMS Framework certification or progress

Responsibilities

• Perform technical analyses and evaluate sustainable environmental engineering solutions.
• Prepare and finalize technical reports, calculations, and design documentation.
• Design environmental protection systems and infrastructure per regulatory and project needs.
• Develop watershed or resource management plans with clear scopes.
• Support permitting and regulatory approvals with vendors and stakeholders.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to support project execution and adapt to needs.
