Job summary

Roto-Rooter Plumbing and Drain Service is seeking a Water Restoration Manager to lead the water restoration department at our Norfolk branch in Virginia Beach, VA. The role focuses on growing restoration business, improving the skills of sales professionals and service technicians, and ensuring efficient staffing and equipment.

You will train and manage the sales force, coordinate with insurance agents, oversee projects from estimate to completion, and ensure customer satisfaction and safety

Qualifications

• Sales management experience in restoration or service industry preferred.
• Strong customer service focus and effective communication with customers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in using Xactimate software.

Responsibilities

• Train and manage the water restoration sales force, including activity, procedures, and performance.
• Promote commercial and residential services to insurance agents for water-damaged properties.
• Act as the front-line first responder and serve as the primary point of contact for customers and insurance agents throughout the project.
• Hire and maintain a team of sales representatives and service technicians.
• Conduct on-the-job training for project managers, technicians, and claims specialists in accordance with RRSC guidelines.
• Collaborate with sales representatives and technicians during the selling and estimating process.
• Inspect sites and present solutions to customers.
• Ensure projects are completed within the established time frame and to the customer's satisfaction.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment (trucks, safety gear, uniforms) to enforce company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor employee compliance with safety policies and requirements.
• Ensure vehicles are properly used and maintained, maintain inventory of supplies, and control costs.
• Use Xactimate software to create proposals.

Water Restoration Manager

Roto-Rooter has been the trusted name for homeowners and businesses for over 90 years, offering plumbing, drain cleaning, and water cleanup services. We are looking for a Water Restoration Manager to lead our water restoration department at our Norfolk branch in Virginia Beach, VA. Salary range is $85,000–$95,000 plus a branch performance-based bonus.

The manager will focus on increasing water restoration business volume, cultivating new customers, improving the skills of sales professionals and service technicians, and ensuring optimal use of staffing and equipment.

Requirements

• Sales management experience, preferably in the restoration or service industry.
• Strong customer service focus and effective communication with customers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Valid driver’s license.
