Job summary

SP Global DRT is seeking a Water Restoration Crew Chief/Assistant Project Manager to lead a mitigation crew on water, fire, and mold remediation projects, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and to industry standards.

You will manage field operations, monitor moisture readings, coordinate with customers, and maintain project documentation while upholding safety and quality expectations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of water/fire mitigation experience.
• IICRC WRT or similar certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and strong customer service skills required.
• Must be able to work in person and travel to job sites; on-call rotation.
• Authorized to work in the United States and able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct the mitigation crew on water, fire, smoke, and mold remediation projects.
• Perform and supervise water extraction, structural drying, demolition, and remediation production work.
• Set up and monitor drying equipment and accurately document moisture readings and daily progress.
• Manage and complete jobs according to SERVPRO processes per work order, monitoring assigned jobs from start to finish.
• Respond to service calls, set up and establish efficient job flow, and coordinate the requirements for each job.
• Communicate clear expectations to production technicians and supervise their activities and quality of work.
• Explain processes and answer customer questions, establishing relationships with commercial, insurance, and residential customers.
• Monitor, communicate, and respond to customer needs and concerns to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain continuous communication with internal parties, including the Job File Coordinator and management.
• Identify safety hazards, communicate them, and establish control measures to ensure the safety of occupants and workers.
• Follow and enforce all safety procedures on the job site.
• Resolve problems quickly as they arise.
• Manage job file documentation to ensure complete and accurate project details, including photos and required readings.
• Manage and control the costs of production projects.
• Manage assets by protecting and properly using equipment and materials.
• Clean and maintain vehicles, equipment, warehouse, and office areas.
