Job summary

Mead & Hunt, Inc. invites a limited-term structural engineering intern to contribute on water resources projects in our Dams, Hydro, and Flood Risk Reduction unit.

The role covers concrete rehabilitation, pump station design, and related responsibilities through May/June 2027 to August 2027. The ideal candidate will have college coursework in civil/structural engineering, plus experience with MS Office, AutoCAD/Civil3D, and design software like RISA or ENERCALC.

Qualifications

• Must have completed at least two semesters of college-level coursework in civil, structural, or architectural engineering.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Civil3D.
• Experience with structural design software such as RISA, ENERCALC, or similar.
• Previous internship experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers and design technicians with structural and civil engineering tasks for water resources projects.
• Prepare design calculations and cost estimates.
• Compile, organize, and analyze project data.
• Draft technical reports and assist with construction documents.
• Review shop drawings and respond to RFIs.
