The Southwest Florida Water Management District (District) invites student interns to gain hands-on experience in regulatory support, permitting, and compliance. Work will be performed at our Sarasota, FL office, with on-site duties and collaboration with staff to advance environmental programs.

This internship offers structured on-site training, data analysis, and communication tasks, with a schedule not exceeding 25 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Part-time student enrollment in an accredited college, university, or program.
• Minimum GPA: 2.5 for undergraduates or 3.0 for graduates.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsabilités

• Draft letters and reports related to permit conditions and compliance.
• Compile data from files, databases, maps and publications.
• Compare construction activity to plans and summarize deviations.
