This student intern role offers an opportunity to support the Office of the Inspector General by gaining hands‑on experience in auditing, investigations, policy review, and performance evaluation within a government oversight setting. Interns will apply key competencies such as the ability to analyze information for reliability and validity, strong problem‑solving and communication skills, creativity in developing solutions, and the capacity to evaluate rules, policies, and procedures for their impact. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is also essential for success in this role.

Employee works in a standard office environment. Occasional travel usually during the workday is required. Performs continuous repetitive tasks (to include keyboarding) with one or both hands. Occasionally lifts and carries objects up to 20 pounds. Occasionally requires bending and reaching above shoulder level. Possible travel to other offices. This position is typically scheduled to work no more than 25 hours per week, between Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, out of the Brooksville or Tampa, FL office. Schedule is contingent upon the decision of the hiring manager and the successful candidate.
