Job summary

Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects seeks a Water Resources Engineer in Denver, CO, with 4–10 years of experience to support our Water Resources Group. You will perform analysis and design as a Project Engineer on complex water resource projects for municipal clients and support other divisions.

You will supervise junior staff, conduct hydrologic studies, model stormwater systems, and contribute to planning, permitting, and business development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's of Science in Civil Engineering.
• Master's degree in Hydrology or Hydraulics preferred.
• 4-10 years of professional water resources experience.
• Colorado Professional Engineer License or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide project engineering and task management on water resources design projects.
• Supervise and delegate work to junior engineers and support staff on hydraulic tasks.
• Conduct stormwater collection systems modeling and design.
• Perform floodplain, inundation, and hydrologic studies.
• Perform sediment transport and scour analyses for water resources projects.
• Assist in water resources permitting efforts.
• Present data in technical reports and oral presentations.
• Prepare engineering plans for detention facilities, storm drains and hydraulic structures.
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams and contribute to business development.
