Job summary

GKY, a division of True Environmental, seeks a senior water resources leader to manage and deliver water resources projects for municipal clients in Virginia. The role combines project management, hands-on hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, technical writing, and team leadership to drive client engagements and project success.

The ideal candidate brings 15+ years of water resources experience, a PE license or eligibility in VA, and a strong track record in business development and client management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with water resources focus.
• 15+ years of water resources project experience.
• Proven business development track record.
• VA PE license or eligible within 3–6 months.
• Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling with SWMM, HEC-RAS, and HEC-HMS.
• Experience with FEMA floodplain management.
• ArcGIS data analysis experience.
• Contract and task order management.
• Valid driver’s license and clean DMV record.

Responsibilities

• Manage water resources projects end-to-end, including project management, modeling, deliverables production, QA/QC, and technical writing/editing.
• Develop and maintain client relationships, prepare proposals, oversee fee proposal development, and deliver presentations.
• Lead people management, coaching and mentoring of technical staff.
• Oversee corporate administration duties, including project approvals, financial forecasts, and management reports.
