Job summary

True Environmental's GKY division is seeking a seasoned Water Resources Project Leader to manage and deliver municipal water resources projects across the U.S. You will oversee technical modeling, QA/QC, and client presentations while guiding project teams.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree with water resources focus and 15+ years of experience, PE license in VA (or eligible). Travel, business development, and coordination with Virginia municipalities are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with water resources coursework (hydrology and hydraulics).
• 15+ years of experience in water resources projects (design and project management).
• Proven ability to generate new leads and bring in client work.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in VA or able to obtain VA license within 3–6 months.
• Experience with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling (SWMM, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS; 2D SWMM preferred).
• Experience with client service management.
• Experience with FEMA floodplain management.
• Experience with mapping and data analysis using ArcGIS.
• Experience with contract and task order management.
• Strong dependability, responsibility, and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license, DMV checks, insurable.

Responsibilities

• Project & Technical Leadership: Manage water resources projects end-to-end, including project management, hands-on modeling, deliverables production, QA/QC, and technical writing and editing.
• Client & Business Development: Develop and maintain client relationships, lead client management efforts, prepare proposals, oversee fee proposal development, and deliver presentations.
• People & Team Management: Lead people management initiatives, providing guidance, direct training, coaching, and mentoring to technical staff.
• Corporate & Administrative Oversight: Direct corporate administration duties, including project approvals, financial forecasts, and management reports.
