Job summary

STV Incorporated is seeking a Market Sector Lead - Water Resources Engineer for our Water Practice Group in Houston or Dallas, Texas. This role provides technical leadership, project management, and client development across stormwater, drainage, floodplain management, and flood-risk projects.

You will lead Hydrologic and Hydraulic analyses, manage studies, and guide junior staff while collaborating with regional and national teams to deliver resilient water resources solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental/Water Resources Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer license required.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in water resources engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for watersheds, drainage systems, and floodplains.
• Manage stormwater, drainage, floodplain mapping and flood-risk projects.
• Develop, review, and interpret 1D/2D models using HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, InfoWorks ICM, XPSWMM or similar.
• Mentor junior and mid-level staff; coordinate teams and subconsultants.
• Support business development through client meetings, proposals, and presentations.
