McCormick Taylor is seeking a Water Resources Manager to lead our Water Resources Department in Raleigh, NC or Charlotte, NC.

The role involves hydrology and hydraulics design, stormwater management, and stream restoration, with a focus on multi-project leadership in a collaborative team. A BS in engineering and PE license are expected, along with 10+ years of experience; we offer a hybrid work model and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• 10+ years Water Resource Engineering experience.
• BS degree in Water Resources engineering, civil engineering, or biological systems engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer.
• DOT Stormwater design and permitting experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite.
• Proficient in WinTR-55/TR-20, HEC-RAS, PondPack and Erosion & Sediment Control design.
• Experience with Storm CAD, AutoCAD and/or Microstation.
• InRoads Storm and Sanitary, SWM modeling, HEC-HMS and/or 2D Modeling is a plus.
• GIS, NPDES Phase I and II, General Permit and Program is a plus.
• Strong communications and technical writing skills.

Responsabilités

• Perform hydrology and hydraulics engineering for stormwater systems.
• Lead drainage design and complex stormwater projects.
• Design storm drains, culverts and structures.
• Conduct floodplain studies and watershed analysis.
• Provide MS4 permitting and stream restoration support.
• Collaborate with transportation and environmental teams for permitting.
• Manage staff workloads and project assignments.
• Contribute to client relationships and proposal writing.
• Perform QA/QC for technical accuracy.
• Manage contracts and client relationships.
