Job summary

Horrocks is seeking a Lead Professional Engineer for Water Resources in Las Vegas, NV. You will lead multi-discipline teams on sizable water system projects, ensuring design excellence and client satisfaction.

The role requires a PE license, BS in Civil Engineering, and 8+ years in water facilities engineering. Proficiency with Civil3D and AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred, along with strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineering License.
• 8+ years in water facilities engineering, design or construction.
• Ability to manage engineering, design or construction projects.
• Proficiency in Civil3D preferred; MS Office essential.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, 2D Modeling, and related software.

Responsibilities

• Lead a project team of engineers, designers, and field personnel on water systems.
• Coordinate meetings with project stakeholders.
• Coordinate with office management and other project managers to share resources.
• Assist in proposal preparation including scope, schedule, and budget for new projects.
• Interface with state and local agencies.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and solve engineering and construction issues.
• Prepare, review, and/or approve proposals, contracts, or cost estimates.
• Lead efforts to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Coordinate design activities to meet specifications, codes, and client requirements.
• Prepare reports and studies presenting technical information clearly.
• Perform independent reviews of work including calculations and drawings.
• Take ownership of projects from start to finish.
