Job summary

AtkinsRéalis invites energetic students to a Water Resources Engineering Intern position in Denver, CO for Summer 2027. You will assist engineers with analyses, design development, and technical tasks, while gaining hands-on experience in hydraulic and hydrologic engineering.

Responsibilities include data collection, modeling, and preparing project deliverables. You will collaborate across disciplines, learn industry standards, and receive mentorship throughout the internship program.

Qualifications

• Must have completed 60 hours toward a civil or environmental engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program by Summer 2027.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation preferred.
• No experience required if enrolled in an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program.

Responsibilities

• Assist project engineers with water resources analyses, design development, and technical tasks.
• Support the delivery of water resources projects through data collection, modeling, calculations, and evaluations.
• Help communicate design concepts and recommendations via drawings, exhibits, and reports.
• Prepare and organize design data, plan sets, specifications, and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and learn industry standards and project delivery processes.
• Develop technical and professional skills through mentorship, training, and exposure to water resources projects.
