The Water Resource Management Intern position is located at the NJ Department of Environmental Protection in Trenton, NJ. It is reserved for seniors of Trenton Central High School and runs 16–20 hours per week, with an hourly rate of $19.

The intern will assist in reviewing engineering plans, ensuring regulatory compliance, and evaluating water system capacity and emergency readiness. Strong Microsoft Office skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to organize information, maintain records, and perform basic data entry.

Responsabilités

• Review and approve Engineering Plans and Specifications to ensure compliance with State and Federal rules.
• Determine finished water storage compliance per State requirements.
• Make recommendations on public water system treatment and infrastructure.
• Review sources and treatment plant capacity and existing demands.
• Update deficit surplus evaluation for water systems.
• Review water systems to ensure sufficient capacity for emergency supply.
