Job summary

ESP Associates, Inc. is seeking an established Water Resources leader to head the Wilmington, NC office and grow the Water Resources practice.

This role oversees staffing, supervision, and growth of the team, with responsibilities spanning client relations, business development, and project oversight. Key activities include planning studies, municipal stormwater CIP projects, and presenting to boards and public officials, with a focus on growth and high-quality client service across multiple

Qualifications

• BSCE or related engineering degree.
• NC PE registration preferred.
• 10+ years of engineering design and project management.
• Strong background in Stormwater and CIP projects.
• Experience with local codes and public agency standards.
• Strong business development and client management skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish, lead and grow the Water Resources team in Wilmington, NC.
• Partner with clients on planning studies and modeling for municipal water resources.
• Prepare and review statements of qualifications.
• Oversee design development, contract documents, cost estimates, and client relations.
• Mentor staff and manage project priorities and budgets.
• Present to public officials, selection committees, and civic audiences.
