Job summary

ESP Associates, Inc. is seeking an accomplished Water Resources leader to head the Wilmington, NC office and grow the practice across our regional offices.

You will supervise staff, manage projects, and build client relationships while delivering Municipal Stormwater and CIP studies. Responsibilities include leading planning studies, preparing proposals, coordinating design development, and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• BSCE or related engineering degree.
• PE registration in North Carolina.
• 10+ years of engineering design and project management.
• Strong background in Stormwater and CIP.
• Financial management and budgeting experience.
• Experience with local codes and public agencies.
• Business development and client liaison skills.
• Ability to mentor staff and present to boards and councils.
• QA/QC program experience and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Establish, lead and grow the Water Resources team in the Wilmington, NC office.
• Plan and model municipal water resources projects with clients.
• Prepare and review statements of qualifications.
• Manage design development, contracts, cost estimates and client relations.
• Mentor staff and supervise project delivery and budgets.
• Present to public officials and support public engagement.
• Drive business development and marketing, including proposals and backlog.
