Job summary

Olsson is recruiting a summer 2027 engineering student intern for the Water Resources team in Lincoln, Nebraska. You will perform hands-on work that moves a project from idea to plan and construction, collaborating with engineers on hydrologic and hydraulic analysis for stormwater and flood control.

You will use AutoCAD, GIS/ArcMap, and modeling software to support analyses, prepare construction documents, and write technical reports, with occasional travel to job sites for field observations.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering (civil engineering or biological systems engineering preferred).
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and GIS is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Work on hydrologic and hydraulic analysis for stormwater and flood control.
• Assist with technical analyses, construction documents, and technical reports.
• Travel to job sites for field observations when required.
