Job summary

Wade Trim in Tampa is seeking an Engineering Summer Intern for our Water Resources group. You will support project teams while gaining hands-on experience in civil/environmental engineering.

Candidates pursuing a bachelor's degree, including freshmen or sophomores, with a valid driver's license and familiarity with Microsoft Office are encouraged to apply. GIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Revit knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Freshman or sophomore status preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine calculations under the supervision of a senior engineer.
• Obtain drawings from local municipalities.
• Analyze rainfall and flow data.
• Copy and scan project drawings.
• Assist engineers with spreadsheet tools development.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers and take direction.
• Coordinate with Planning department.
• Coordinate with Design (structural) department.
• Coordinate with Hydraulic and Hydrology department.
• Communicate effectively with staff and clients.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
