Job summary

SAN-Jacinto-River-Authority seeks an Engineering Intern to support its Technical Services Department in The Woodlands, TX. This role offers exposure to raw water, potable water, and wastewater infrastructure projects with guidance from senior staff.

You will collect data, perform calculations, assist in design development, and help prepare technical reports and project documentation while learning industry standards and software tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Infoworks ICM, and WaterGEMS.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil, Environmental, or Agricultural Engineering with at least 2 years completed.
• Engineering-related job experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supports planning, development, operation, and maintenance across divisions.
• Collects data, performs calculations, and supports design development.
• Drafts technical reports and reviews project documents for accuracy.
• Assists in developing project scopes of work and management plans.
• Supports contract management, including administration and oversight.
• Learns industry standards and regulatory requirements relevant to SJRA.
• Gains familiarity with hydraulic modeling and project documentation using AutoCAD Civil 3D, Infoworks ICM, WaterGEMS.
• Observes field and operation activities to understand raw, potable, and wastewater infrastructure.
