Job summary

GEI Consultants, Inc. is seeking an experienced Water Resources Engineer to join our Akron, Ohio office. You will contribute to planning and implementing water resource projects in natural and urban settings, collaborating with a national team.

Ideal candidates have 1–5 years of experience, a Civil Engineering degree, PE or ability to obtain, and hands-on skills in H/H modeling, SWMM/HEC-RAS, GIS, and CAD. Travel and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

  • 1-5 years of professional experience in water resources engineering.
  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or water resources; MS is a plus.
  • Registered Professional Engineer or able to obtain in 3 years.
  • Ability to work in a team and meet deadlines; strong communication.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

  • Execute projects with project managers; dam removals, river restoration, flood control.
  • Prepare memoranda, reports, and present technical information to clients.
  • Create design documents, drawings, specs, bids and schedules.
  • Travel to project sites and other GEI offices as required.
