Water Resources Engineer/Project Manager (PE)

We are seeking a Water Resources Engineer/Project Manager to join our team with opportunities in Frankfort and Lexington, KY, as well as Mt. Juliet and Murfreesboro, TN.

Key Responsibilities

• Design systems for safe, efficient transportation of drinking water and wastewater, including pumping and storage projects.
• Assist senior staff in designing water and wastewater treatment plants.
• Review drainage systems for stormwater and floodplains to ensure safety and ecological integrity.
• Assess infrastructure needs based on population and development forecasts; conduct feasibility studies.
• Analyze water treatment technologies and recommend the most effective methods.
• Develop specifications for pumping and force main systems.
• Coordinate with contractors and government agencies on project construction.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines and codes.
• Conduct feasibility and technical studies, preparing reports.
• Provide technical support and expertise to clients.
• Perform cost-benefit analyses for projects.
• Collaborate with marketing on RFPs, presentations, and project scoping.

Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Civil Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• Experience in designing water treatment plants is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years in public water infrastructure projects.
• Project and client management experience.
• Ability to guide junior staff and participate in design of complex projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency.
• Team-oriented with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a hybrid schedule.
