Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking a Water Resources Engineer in Richmond, VA to join a well-established engineering consulting firm serving public and private sector clients across the Mid-Atlantic. You will prepare designs, studies, and construction documents for drainage, stormwater, and transportation projects, review calculations, mentor junior engineers, and participate in field investigations and public meetings.

A Virginia PE is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required (Virginia PE preferred).
• 5+ years of water resources engineering experience.
• Experience preparing engineering plans, reports, specifications, and construction documents.
• Strong knowledge of drainage, stormwater, or transportation-related water resources projects.
• Experience with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, HydroCAD, Civil 3D or MicroStation.
• VDOT project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare water resources engineering designs, studies, and technical reports.
• Develop construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, and contract documents.
• Support drainage, stormwater, and related transportation infrastructure projects.
• Review methods, calculations, and design criteria for compliance.
• Mentor junior engineers and assist with CADD-related training.
• Participate in field investigations, inspections, and public meetings.
