Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP in Fairfax, VA is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join our team. The role focuses on hydrologic/hydraulic studies, drainage design, stormwater management, and erosion control for transportation projects.

The candidate will work with Virginia regions and contribute to technical reports and CAD design documents. The ideal candidate has a civil/environmental engineering degree (ABET) with 5–10 years of experience and is proficient in H/H software and CAD

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited civil/environmental engineering degree.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience.
• EIT certification required; PE preferred.
• Experience designing drainage, stormwater systems, BMPs; and preparing contract docs.
• Proficiency with H/H design software and 3D design tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hydrologic/hydraulic studies and drainage design.
• Lead stormwater management and erosion/sediment control for transportation projects.
• Perform watershed analyses and modeling (H/H).
• Prepare/modify drainage designs on CAD drawings and construction documents.
• Design storm sewer systems and analyze bridges/culverts; assess scour.
