Job summary
Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. offers a water resources internship in Detroit, MI.
You will work on green stormwater infrastructure, water and sewer projects, and stormwater improvements, supporting a project team with basic engineering and hydrology principles. As part of the team you may perform studies, CAD modeling, technical report writing, data entry, GIS usage, and construction services support while developing communication and teamwork skills.
Qualifications
- Enrollment in a degree-seeking program in Civil, Environmental, Biosystems or Chemical Engineering or another closely related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Previous intern experience with a consulting or engineering firm.
- Relevant coursework or projects.
- EIT or on track to obtain.
Responsibilities
- Assist with hydraulic evaluations on civil, water, wastewater projects.
- Support cost estimation and information tracking.
- Use GIS and CAD software for design and documentation.
- Assist with document and plan preparation and data entry.
- Provide project management support and collaborate with staff.
